I purge, you win - it's a giveaway!

The giveaway has ended. Winners will be announced soon!

I am almost finished the closet reorganization and keeping my fingers crossed that it will stay that way a long time! I still have a few things to put away but I'm hoping to keep things off the floor. I am eyeing some boxes on the bottom shelves that might need to be removed to make room for "fabric".

Now, for the fun part. I did find some fabric I can part with and two of you may be the lucky winners of this fabric. I will pick one winner for each of the following bits of fabric. In each picture, the fabric on the left is at least 4 yards. Great for backing. The tan and rose fabric is one yard and the dark fabric is 2 yards. When I pick the winners I will notify each one and the first to respond will get their first pick and the other person will get the fabric pack that remains. A win-win, I think.

Now, to enter, just leave a comment on this post. You might want to tell us how often you have to clean out your stash.  For a second chance, become a follower or let me know you already are. Make sure your email is available so I can contact you if you are the winner! I would hate to have to choose an alternate if you are a no-reply. The giveaway is open to all. Giveaway will be open until
Monday, June 20 at 9:00 pm Eastern time.

I must get back to the organizing. Who knows, I might even find some other goodies to include in the prize!

  1. I usually reorganize my sewing room every year. Not a fun job, but my sewing space gets cluttered quickly, it seems.

  2. I would love the teddy bear fabric. It would be perfect to make a few charity quilts for kids.

  4. I just started sewing last year, but I try to reorganize my stash/sewing area every few months. Just to clean up. Or whenever it's really impossible to work anymore =P Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. I love the floral print -- very pretty! I go thru my stash about every year (just before Paducah) and make some decisions. Sometimes I just reorganize it. LOL! :)

  6. I get into an organizing mood when I'm looking for a particular fabric and can't find it. One thing lead to another during my search and I end up organizing. I'd love to win the fabric you're giving away and thank you for the opportunity.

  8. Thanks for the lovely giveaway!
Since I am a beginner I don't have a big stash and I have allocated a small space for it in my clothes cupboard. But that too gets disorganized quickly and I had to organize it last week :D

  9. I don't have one really, a stash that is....everybody say Ah... but I am working on it so really hope I can win some!! I just have four drawers for my fabric so fairly easy to keep tidy, thanks for the giveaway.

  10. Looks great! I organize whenever I get the urge - which isn't very often! I could really use the yardage for backing donation quilts that my guild makes for the intensive care unit of a children's hospital.

  13. Well, I dont have to do a stash cleanout as much as I need to keep the sewing room tidy. I literally have 7 quilts within a 10 foot radius from which Im sitting in varying states of doneness. They are meaningful piles of course!

  18. I sure do wish that my sewing room closet was as large as yours...but then again maybe it's a good thing that my closet is small!

  19. I just love the dot fabric. I would like to organize my stash and stuff more often, but probably work on it every few months when a pile gets to falling over, then it is time to organize. I need to train myself to put the extra fabric away as soon as I finish a project!

  21. I had a BI stash purge when I moved 3+ years ago. Now my buying habits are a bit different, and I am not planning any more purges, at least for the next couple of years. Good luck on your reorganizing!

  24. I don't really keep a large stash. But every year or so I'll go through my scraps and kinda organize them. Which might last for about 3 months. Actually, now that I think about it, I have different piles of fabric stashed all around the house. I bet if I put them all together it would be bigger than I ever thought!

  30. It seems like I am always organizing!~ I am a messy quilter and always pull everything out and then am slow at getting it back in its place. ;-) Thanks for the fun giveaway!
