Not today!
Can you see it? The rainbow at the end of the road? A few weeks ago I was driving up the turnpike and saw this rainbow, which took my breath away. It was a perfect partial rainbow in the road ahead of me. Wow. I couldn't get to it to check for the gold but what fun that would have been. Can you imagine the fabric that gold would buy!
Here in the Northeast we are having a huge rainstorm. I do believe it will rain all day.
And we can't even say, the flowers really need it. This will probably take down the rest of the leaves on the trees so the great fall color will be history.
I dwell on this poem to appreciate this time of year heading into winter. It was on a poster I had on my wall years ago.
I love to see when leaves depart,
The clear anatomy arrive,
Winter, the paragon of art,
That kills all forms of life and feeling,
Save what is pure and will survive.
by Roy Campbell
Enjoy the coming of winter.
I'm sharing one more picture from the Country Living Fair. I love sunflowers and this pillow caught my eye. I think I will put the idea on the "list".
Have a great day!
