Meeting, part two

I said I would be back with more and here I am. Just sharing one more picture of Norma's quilts. Love that postage stamp quilt on the quilt rack. I just keep thinking that would certainly be a daunting task to complete.

After viewing all of the beauties in Norma's closet, we did go back and share our sewing for the past month. Since our January meeting was canceled, we had that block to share first. This one was my choice so luckily I didn't have to do another one. I just love how different they all look.

These are the blocks we made on our own. It was sewer's choice since we didn't meet last month. A few of us used only two fabrics in our block. We actually were trying to decide who made the simplest block!

And now for next month - since Norma, our gracious hostess, is a member of the Variable Star Quilters, Karen chose that block for our next month. I do like this one. There were two versions and this is the one we're all making.

Second choice is the one with green background. Maybe another month.

Cindy shared her BOM. Isn't it pretty? I do love her colors. Still have to make mine by next weekend. (Remember, I work best under pressure and with deadlines!)

And finally, Karen shared her wool quilt. I'm not sure the colors show up well on here but it is just gorgeous. She is going to use a cotton backing and hand quilt it. Can't wait to see it all finished. How cozy will that be!

Still have one piece of really exciting news to share but I'll post that next time.

  1. I really love how all the blocks are turning out. I can't wait to see Dru's in person in April when I come down. Hard to believe she was working on the first one the last time I visited!
