A day late...

...well actually, many days late. The Good Enough Quilters met last week and it has taken me this long to actually post about this. No excuses. Well, maybe  a few. Just got very busy and would get to the computer late at night and that is never a good time to try to write anything that makes any sense!

This meeting was our chance to put together the blocks we each made. True to form, I finished my block just a few hours before the meeting. It was amazing how they looked the same, yet different.

You can see the one in the center was one of mine. I seemed to use lighter colors in my second block so we decided to put that in the center.

Cindy graciously volunteered to sew them together and then next time, we will decide on the binding, etc. The picture below shows two of our choices. Any thoughts?

Debbie was the only one who brought a share to this meeting. You win, Debbie. This was an advent calendar she made up in her head. Doesn't it look great?

I had to share a close-up so you can see the buttons. She has little ornaments that will go in the pockets and then on the tree.

And now a closeup so you can see the pockets. She hand embroidered the numbers on the pockets.

No assignments for our next meeting but I really have to sew something! Wish me luck.

  1. I think I would vote for the blue binding but it's so hard to judge without actually seeing it in person.Looking forward to the June meeting!!
