<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It looks like it is time again to post for the original reason this blog was started. We have a group of quilters, (and I use that term loosely when I talk about myself!), who meet once a month, sharing quilts and also occasionally working on a charity quilt. I promised to share these pictures that I took at our meeting last week. And it took me less than a week to do it! Right, Fran?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_nTL0qgEJNb8tjckZpd7HVk4GTTveWE5IVvf7PAUeq4GYOtwHBwhFePL0-eWTAOKFx5Gj5xJ0AfYGvbkKulNts8_o2ZpO4W86NqyLWauFwo9VA5e9e2r7YjoCwJxvVQ215isbvZI7hVg/s1600/IMG_9989.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_nTL0qgEJNb8tjckZpd7HVk4GTTveWE5IVvf7PAUeq4GYOtwHBwhFePL0-eWTAOKFx5Gj5xJ0AfYGvbkKulNts8_o2ZpO4W86NqyLWauFwo9VA5e9e2r7YjoCwJxvVQ215isbvZI7hVg/s320/IMG_9989.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
The first pictures were Lynn's sharing. Lynn is from California and once a year, her sisters and some friends come from California for a long weekend of quilting. Doesn't that sound like fun? And each person brings a quilty gift for everyone. These were key fobs of different styles. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj3lj50qQ39SFhkoF2Rb-u980_4wB57nr5PmE8Kdw60cByV91TTyoftEWO8udAkWUo0fpFgpXRV7E1KoPUu4FU2gBjsn4XNLNegRAwcMCAZ5C9E3bh14-971za368wbpottJDs6Zc2VaE/s1600/IMG_9990.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj3lj50qQ39SFhkoF2Rb-u980_4wB57nr5PmE8Kdw60cByV91TTyoftEWO8udAkWUo0fpFgpXRV7E1KoPUu4FU2gBjsn4XNLNegRAwcMCAZ5C9E3bh14-971za368wbpottJDs6Zc2VaE/s320/IMG_9990.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
We all thought this would be a perfect mug mat but I think Lynn said they were hot pads. Either way, great fabric.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp8F7aUA-zkcWmkJY7STayyOFME4b07tbn5W9u8orJo19Yx7Gu7ySyjK0C1Ka7z-sP__6YTpHtIQ1TF1MxLIEp-3grYoGHxAMGS60xQXbdZnBygHFjjDkYkjP4lw3DweD1uAY16Eg75O8/s1600/IMG_9992.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp8F7aUA-zkcWmkJY7STayyOFME4b07tbn5W9u8orJo19Yx7Gu7ySyjK0C1Ka7z-sP__6YTpHtIQ1TF1MxLIEp-3grYoGHxAMGS60xQXbdZnBygHFjjDkYkjP4lw3DweD1uAY16Eg75O8/s320/IMG_9992.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
This was a caddy to hang by your machine. It is hard to see but there are three pockets on the banner that are perfect for scissors, etc. Handy and pretty at the same time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNTDMDVQS_kJ-3sBtKEIhF1EmH866jBLXEEsgOO2Cdm5xu8Fs-TJGuH5522YxkbfD-XsshaQK1DA0t7B-nJobgTqFwlScOEg_lZW-TldG2kvtpY3ZtTWKwbDMvRsx4GJReLhbQ4TgVAnA/s1600/IMG_9993.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNTDMDVQS_kJ-3sBtKEIhF1EmH866jBLXEEsgOO2Cdm5xu8Fs-TJGuH5522YxkbfD-XsshaQK1DA0t7B-nJobgTqFwlScOEg_lZW-TldG2kvtpY3ZtTWKwbDMvRsx4GJReLhbQ4TgVAnA/s320/IMG_9993.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
And there was a sewing machine cover for everyone! Again, great colors and fabric.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvPnoQ3Gp4QbsCaQmc6Rz1RCKlIgzdUGqG4A3eU4iFCCLi7A6kggWStqr52PAQWD_OnSqlJmT7JtMaFkZRhKYtSuEYr5VvOhyUQaCAKZRZuFrtKY0o81MC0f_oiWKZtsEwxzOP8lmyq5Q/s1600/IMG_9994.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvPnoQ3Gp4QbsCaQmc6Rz1RCKlIgzdUGqG4A3eU4iFCCLi7A6kggWStqr52PAQWD_OnSqlJmT7JtMaFkZRhKYtSuEYr5VvOhyUQaCAKZRZuFrtKY0o81MC0f_oiWKZtsEwxzOP8lmyq5Q/s320/IMG_9994.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
A makeup case with cute patchwork on one side.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8KGa8sZY32X_A7e84L7JapbP14ag52wpuHg62Wbjgcj5FLscHTLZjiBljVbDY82PVUnJjunBSSMkYxc-OYdBIcYAABk9SuwFx3DKYkX7OEbiMO1gQWUHzXFTji5cC37sE3g-ABc1Jjc4/s1600/IMG_9995.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8KGa8sZY32X_A7e84L7JapbP14ag52wpuHg62Wbjgcj5FLscHTLZjiBljVbDY82PVUnJjunBSSMkYxc-OYdBIcYAABk9SuwFx3DKYkX7OEbiMO1gQWUHzXFTji5cC37sE3g-ABc1Jjc4/s320/IMG_9995.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
A crocheted scrubbie. Useful and cute.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEFXyI5l4CpiBY4RNqkPYl-dMVJyMJtmtI5Tz_VUhcLciRUNDDXBDDSlfZBd3hsa7RagN5fQ4D4pnit1DhlvlyGH6bXRBcwFdZJTtMD-xmap-uHO6nYTZkqFUwhj4Qb8MCNzQatvfjuP0/s1600/IMG_9996.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEFXyI5l4CpiBY4RNqkPYl-dMVJyMJtmtI5Tz_VUhcLciRUNDDXBDDSlfZBd3hsa7RagN5fQ4D4pnit1DhlvlyGH6bXRBcwFdZJTtMD-xmap-uHO6nYTZkqFUwhj4Qb8MCNzQatvfjuP0/s320/IMG_9996.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
But the best of all was the felted pig. One of her sisters brought roving and a book with instructions. Lynn made this herself. Sooooooo cute. And of course, I had to order the book! More later.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimr0byFvscXlPjl_r7S505oGmGTe_jYnXT97iwhlP-NVuNeB3Zz8nbpA98uCwnOjsleFS6BylVUwj68tsrnAKyZMC01H2O5LyHJCfnKSZUuRu8c6Fpvg4Y9Eq9bFCR3N9Fwh-oRkhvLtY/s1600/IMG_9997.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimr0byFvscXlPjl_r7S505oGmGTe_jYnXT97iwhlP-NVuNeB3Zz8nbpA98uCwnOjsleFS6BylVUwj68tsrnAKyZMC01H2O5LyHJCfnKSZUuRu8c6Fpvg4Y9Eq9bFCR3N9Fwh-oRkhvLtY/s320/IMG_9997.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
Debbie was working on the binding for this finished piece. This was 12 days of Christmas and really done so well. This was a piece we all started a few months ago. I never finished mine but Debbie's bright colors made the perfect quilt for her granddaughter.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzh9W8FCgUQYorar9MueSJchO6LOVEnKAAPbR-HTvKLBWB_rYeA__6fGFEIE0prRi3QVBBMqTttJuh8gHWN64Vv5i4DbmjC5nXp95UaldmkmDZpOJwVvm9uKsDSzMKK7Glb1mwxX1gRaI/s1600/IMG_9999.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzh9W8FCgUQYorar9MueSJchO6LOVEnKAAPbR-HTvKLBWB_rYeA__6fGFEIE0prRi3QVBBMqTttJuh8gHWN64Vv5i4DbmjC5nXp95UaldmkmDZpOJwVvm9uKsDSzMKK7Glb1mwxX1gRaI/s320/IMG_9999.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
And finally, Laura was busily knitting a shawl for her mother. You can't tell very well but each color was a different texture. So very cool.<br />
<br />
And yes, I'm going on notice now. I plan to start working on a quilt next weekend. Wish me luck! </div>

As a reader just reminded me, it has been more than a year since my last post! Yikes. Where does the time go. Have to admit, my quilting projects are pretty much equal to my blog posts. Maybe if I write and post this, I'll be able to get started again. Really do love doing this.<br />
<br />
I'm sure that the Good Enough Quilters will be shocked to see these photos finally being shared. We had our first meeting of the season a week ago and Lynn won the prize for her very prolific summer! Way to go, Lynn.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8WxMx4KWdatf1H_6JU3vwVUSHPcZ4biVjFA0DDXAJSK65Jma_sNx5UQZ_C3J5z-UBlR-ODJDJvDFD79VpFdVAmz1-D1vnPR9oQY_oBFg0wRcOK66fP_5boHSRCVAPdcWqsqiOlcBvgj0/s1600/IMG_8474.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8WxMx4KWdatf1H_6JU3vwVUSHPcZ4biVjFA0DDXAJSK65Jma_sNx5UQZ_C3J5z-UBlR-ODJDJvDFD79VpFdVAmz1-D1vnPR9oQY_oBFg0wRcOK66fP_5boHSRCVAPdcWqsqiOlcBvgj0/s320/IMG_8474.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
We all agreed that we loved the look of this quilt. The white really set off the colors and looked so pretty. We also loved the straight line stitching.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibsyNWYxTcOXMswOOMq58Gewp8sikujA0xL7LsVRX7r5DNkBrZMFNXzFei8PI7fXTkg6yqHKSiAe5TKPcR6Pc6Gp_lvPre-70gulXNe45rz_ntOtuMY_k4QXkbaGGOf_qpTWDNpSDLKrM/s1600/IMG_8475.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibsyNWYxTcOXMswOOMq58Gewp8sikujA0xL7LsVRX7r5DNkBrZMFNXzFei8PI7fXTkg6yqHKSiAe5TKPcR6Pc6Gp_lvPre-70gulXNe45rz_ntOtuMY_k4QXkbaGGOf_qpTWDNpSDLKrM/s320/IMG_8475.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Not sure if you can see this but it would be a favorite of any Penn State fans. And it's a baby quilt. More of that straight line quilting too!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiR4S8OIlSEhgY9YWMGrst5BzSkQYM7gjosq6rgSbN0oIYcGsSoGsy9cASeAfuu7wBLQEvvAskoBKQbDCk41oY6IwR0szB5t3ISWik9uU-08irqeqCFTza2VOiaVGQWF0bSfE-53lCMAog/s1600/IMG_8479.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiR4S8OIlSEhgY9YWMGrst5BzSkQYM7gjosq6rgSbN0oIYcGsSoGsy9cASeAfuu7wBLQEvvAskoBKQbDCk41oY6IwR0szB5t3ISWik9uU-08irqeqCFTza2VOiaVGQWF0bSfE-53lCMAog/s320/IMG_8479.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Several years ago, many of us in the group participated in a block of the month at a local fabric store. Lynn used her in such a unique way. And be sure to check the photo below to see her stitching.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj50TG16k2xCtu77s8D7F0r848cqtsIKq34gf4WmHwlclxH-eQLcKvl6PasT1DSB0lomgFxgmI9ueztU8v0sgg_kXX7GjKYirhzLl75gx6UYoE1Qi4SN9cUTZuTFtoCaXKfzhdD_eU2KJQ/s1600/IMG_8482.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj50TG16k2xCtu77s8D7F0r848cqtsIKq34gf4WmHwlclxH-eQLcKvl6PasT1DSB0lomgFxgmI9ueztU8v0sgg_kXX7GjKYirhzLl75gx6UYoE1Qi4SN9cUTZuTFtoCaXKfzhdD_eU2KJQ/s320/IMG_8482.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
And then from the not quite finished pile but far enough along to be amazed. Love the look of this. Thinking of trying the pattern myself.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6JVbZaeyLY1ZV_WHOriW9cC6esjQ_9-ObIq1RPlciPMai7JOAAn_D03i6lbZIp1Ne7zb1S2-xpwuoQpWgHjk62p2d_AJZZ2e8c2pXRAAtQ3KylfPWNDgO8fNotd3NN-KMy1cHkRhwkUM/s1600/IMG_8484.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6JVbZaeyLY1ZV_WHOriW9cC6esjQ_9-ObIq1RPlciPMai7JOAAn_D03i6lbZIp1Ne7zb1S2-xpwuoQpWgHjk62p2d_AJZZ2e8c2pXRAAtQ3KylfPWNDgO8fNotd3NN-KMy1cHkRhwkUM/s320/IMG_8484.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
And in the category of, someone please distract her so I can just take the quilt...the Spool Quilt. I have purchased and saved so many patterns like this... and guess how many I have made? You are right and all the more reason to just take Lynn's. Oh, well. I am inspired.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY-Mj2uj2F6dZmaLHW1UiXDbFj0JRCxBlYq4vEYqd_jFewD-z62zsV-E5DNg5Q27VoHV0oO0FENPR5NFCtGBVPmBbOIb6Qe_0AhHeWBPHPTQxnMacvRRQdVnEM_omjPE2cepg2ZYDTUmc/s1600/IMG_8487.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY-Mj2uj2F6dZmaLHW1UiXDbFj0JRCxBlYq4vEYqd_jFewD-z62zsV-E5DNg5Q27VoHV0oO0FENPR5NFCtGBVPmBbOIb6Qe_0AhHeWBPHPTQxnMacvRRQdVnEM_omjPE2cepg2ZYDTUmc/s320/IMG_8487.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
Now, does anyone want to place bets on when the next blog post will appear.<br />
<br />
Have a great weekend, everyone!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hi everyone, I'm finally back. I can't believe almost a year has gone by since I last posted. I know I say I will try to write more and I will but don't want the expectations to be too high! Life has gotten in the way of me doing any sewing but after the meeting of the Good Enough Quilters tonight, I am inspired. Also realized I have two quilts to get made as quickly as possible. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We didn't have a project tonight, just show and tell. Dru started us off with two projects. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOFNnOYsiL9-SrEcZu3OWeyCtIXQ_vzlU41_6_EZRIfDZAI2SRP58XdyiU3xLo1sCYl2dY3n4l7z8YeRJRGlfxPG1LHnWSY7ZpTGqSbQRApwc5bUBrCerQLQ9Jyr7svjK2QBc9RrE4XI8/s1600/IMG_7084.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOFNnOYsiL9-SrEcZu3OWeyCtIXQ_vzlU41_6_EZRIfDZAI2SRP58XdyiU3xLo1sCYl2dY3n4l7z8YeRJRGlfxPG1LHnWSY7ZpTGqSbQRApwc5bUBrCerQLQ9Jyr7svjK2QBc9RrE4XI8/s320/IMG_7084.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
This little pouch is Dru's finish from last meeting. Cindy showed everyone how to make this little beauty. You won't see mine since I didn't even try to do it. I was the cheerleader on the side.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcuASh3znSBNYU6cNhMZh2-fWJSKelAdXemGVFjTgw3C8ENszOi3pZGdyvRwfViEERG5DeKN1nxGcerIMB8l8IRPdb6ggDeXnEoP83hPBWK8mlGuvZBs3ve2bzaJoHb9EuEvWusnU1awQ/s1600/IMG_7086.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcuASh3znSBNYU6cNhMZh2-fWJSKelAdXemGVFjTgw3C8ENszOi3pZGdyvRwfViEERG5DeKN1nxGcerIMB8l8IRPdb6ggDeXnEoP83hPBWK8mlGuvZBs3ve2bzaJoHb9EuEvWusnU1awQ/s320/IMG_7086.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Dru also brought a WIP with her. She only has to finish the binding and then she can enjoy this runner on top of her dresser. She used some of that wonderful Life is Good fabric. Remember that?<br />

<br />
Don't you love this large tote that Cindy made? I didn't get a closeup for you but the fabric is simply fabulous.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This little bag was Cindy's other project. She insisted it was quick to make. Hmmmmm.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU1n_qzkmYR3jbz3VJcOFKZXgz4uh2XAOGUIBSZzlyt5CWLp9kBgKV9ogaATBtB9LCxC6SSB8dkHOxQ35fk4PNy3JOWQbbZcXBZOVzW0TAkLEquK4Z4xy6CfVr-Cc1VlFxMXqrSZPilS4/s1600/IMG_7093.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU1n_qzkmYR3jbz3VJcOFKZXgz4uh2XAOGUIBSZzlyt5CWLp9kBgKV9ogaATBtB9LCxC6SSB8dkHOxQ35fk4PNy3JOWQbbZcXBZOVzW0TAkLEquK4Z4xy6CfVr-Cc1VlFxMXqrSZPilS4/s320/IMG_7093.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Then we moved to sharing new fabric. Cindy was given lovely, colorful African waxed cloth direct from Africa. Such great colors, all of them.<br />
<br />

<br />
Then, it was Fran's turn. She brought a beautiful crocheted baby blanket she is making for a grandbaby on the way. Don't you just love the colors she used?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP32zzuceMqhLzeJCSW6PQtX6x4rKo0sstsw08q0MCD3uXHt9KCNK-LCE5JFeqFDn6H8hMxyt9w9Rr47XFXgc2By6lV6WmvI4yqWh89DbTWohOxxvbWpjLVJvQKt7qVxzgI7Yg3ooffdI/s1600/IMG_7100.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP32zzuceMqhLzeJCSW6PQtX6x4rKo0sstsw08q0MCD3uXHt9KCNK-LCE5JFeqFDn6H8hMxyt9w9Rr47XFXgc2By6lV6WmvI4yqWh89DbTWohOxxvbWpjLVJvQKt7qVxzgI7Yg3ooffdI/s320/IMG_7100.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Lynn had a crocheted piece too. Showed some ingenuity on her part.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXUwr2B4WIT2rbUkHduGBKT5m5qObPNNWRf8TZsbR7oy3QUqISVRaiA42owaxwc5vXa0qYJFVoDhTO5ncH44nz1Otimh3L_5iRdKOb03fVc9xRgI0qJoKHTZUf5DtD2L4gMYs89nnXuBk/s1600/IMG_7102.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXUwr2B4WIT2rbUkHduGBKT5m5qObPNNWRf8TZsbR7oy3QUqISVRaiA42owaxwc5vXa0qYJFVoDhTO5ncH44nz1Otimh3L_5iRdKOb03fVc9xRgI0qJoKHTZUf5DtD2L4gMYs89nnXuBk/s320/IMG_7102.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Then the quilts! This was one that Lynn worked on for quite a while. It looks so Southwestern.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDYv2lNCS16mEW0DfwteM5TvgNb5VzoRFJzYnhnAvmHynDXNOB5KRIKxYBYSyCopw3YEYG93H3KpR1ihmTZAgOcxVCDl8qdVYMdweH6Ti21W2ny4qop-EzDzxpVNedOYkgrFT8m8N7kI8/s1600/IMG_7103.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDYv2lNCS16mEW0DfwteM5TvgNb5VzoRFJzYnhnAvmHynDXNOB5KRIKxYBYSyCopw3YEYG93H3KpR1ihmTZAgOcxVCDl8qdVYMdweH6Ti21W2ny4qop-EzDzxpVNedOYkgrFT8m8N7kI8/s320/IMG_7103.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
This one is a quilt using all pieces she had and recycling them in the quilt. She will be donating them and really feels they will appreciate the recycled aspect of this quilt. The blues in the quilt are simply stunning.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3LASlnstNCDGMMOcypKWRqPXU2e5eB2K7RGdngdG-phpH1tZxMM8oiv7VXDp0ov3mJk3HV5YWV3Unwx2qQBDHsw4CupkXbJiij4Ftxt0P468NOLA4D8Q_PL55iBlKZusy7O96MlHCHns/s1600/IMG_7105.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3LASlnstNCDGMMOcypKWRqPXU2e5eB2K7RGdngdG-phpH1tZxMM8oiv7VXDp0ov3mJk3HV5YWV3Unwx2qQBDHsw4CupkXbJiij4Ftxt0P468NOLA4D8Q_PL55iBlKZusy7O96MlHCHns/s320/IMG_7105.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
The back used up fabric too. It all works so well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwwdaZ14T-XHY3L2JlQEwbwNTNJe1QTFFa7GY2iExrJVCfX7DJij39EgWDKbl77XEA4PL-BoEzbEcyegaI_ZVavhpA_-aqRfRy9rhShYyv_DCbLx6UIJgTH-Ljt85hp1TWvrJs4k1e2u0/s1600/IMG_7107.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwwdaZ14T-XHY3L2JlQEwbwNTNJe1QTFFa7GY2iExrJVCfX7DJij39EgWDKbl77XEA4PL-BoEzbEcyegaI_ZVavhpA_-aqRfRy9rhShYyv_DCbLx6UIJgTH-Ljt85hp1TWvrJs4k1e2u0/s320/IMG_7107.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Then we oohed and aahed at Debbie's baby quilt. Great pattern and colors and if you look below you can see the amazing quilting she did on the quilt. I'm in awe. and Inspired.<br />

Greetings, everyone! I knew it was a long time since I posted but when I look at the header picture, of spring flowers!, I realize how really long it has been. Time to get back to work!</div>

<br />
Went back to the Good Enough Quilters meeting tonight and it was time to catch up. The picture above was a baby quilt that Laura is working on. The group helped her put colors together at the last meeting. Below you can see the gorgeous backing she will use. Good thing it is moving along since it seems the baby is to arrive any day!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuw2pDYl3hJRoItTrvkO7kLycEDzraUxCYJhptD6j58H6E4rhPAEtOqgyC4ZyJmZWwCHNvwpjkdG1VvkoxL3jlJ_chnKf6rPE6_kQGzmFgE6rKvoVWgn_yKhIKdP4voy8LKaA4hNntHgI/s1600/IMG_5862.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuw2pDYl3hJRoItTrvkO7kLycEDzraUxCYJhptD6j58H6E4rhPAEtOqgyC4ZyJmZWwCHNvwpjkdG1VvkoxL3jlJ_chnKf6rPE6_kQGzmFgE6rKvoVWgn_yKhIKdP4voy8LKaA4hNntHgI/s1600/IMG_5862.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It was Dru's turn to share. Don't you love these pillows she made! She and Cindy are attending a monthly modern quilt group and the challenge that Dru completed was making a pillow. We all loved the colors and design of these.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWgw9BEpB393NKreJ1dZ1BGn7xQJXFiRsWPSFe2Hurfo-FZ9tWdiN9lU23gLjzYzIREuURBosoPmIu7IDKWZ4ePaM8OMxhdZwmvcBM1c4gANSwxjRYLksP-1WzjAvJYy-YWQAsHY5OVgk/s1600/IMG_5866.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWgw9BEpB393NKreJ1dZ1BGn7xQJXFiRsWPSFe2Hurfo-FZ9tWdiN9lU23gLjzYzIREuURBosoPmIu7IDKWZ4ePaM8OMxhdZwmvcBM1c4gANSwxjRYLksP-1WzjAvJYy-YWQAsHY5OVgk/s1600/IMG_5866.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And Dru was happy to show the two mini-quilts that she WON! It was her turn to be lucky.<br />
First, a small Christmas tree quilt that you see below.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5bP4Od_Nrxd5VLHXn1_xQsfwNU-3bFFE09wdW6FzBg5vpWHxmDGVvq3J4ChUUapctB0nk-JDjXGOYrIFMIWx4kzVSL0nDF5YzY2ZeKWZGchkPaGS1_OLAaweY6JStYvn9qMuRNhs_pbU/s1600/IMG_5867.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5bP4Od_Nrxd5VLHXn1_xQsfwNU-3bFFE09wdW6FzBg5vpWHxmDGVvq3J4ChUUapctB0nk-JDjXGOYrIFMIWx4kzVSL0nDF5YzY2ZeKWZGchkPaGS1_OLAaweY6JStYvn9qMuRNhs_pbU/s1600/IMG_5867.jpg" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
And then this small swirly style quilt that does resemble a peacock. We couldn't decide if the fabric was painted or not. Really pretty colors.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs8QWz14aLwgjk8WszqB236GBortSx3hzJT4E2L386SZT73f_DJ1G7k0-rT138GuOB2v7CPRHrb98kXCy-ljsF6n2OAzAG_q393ugrqDdiflzyS7bs0Fx5ZrLhH_pFEt2rXSdwhzw50vY/s1600/IMG_5868.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs8QWz14aLwgjk8WszqB236GBortSx3hzJT4E2L386SZT73f_DJ1G7k0-rT138GuOB2v7CPRHrb98kXCy-ljsF6n2OAzAG_q393ugrqDdiflzyS7bs0Fx5ZrLhH_pFEt2rXSdwhzw50vY/s1600/IMG_5868.jpg" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The rest of our meeting was spent cutting out and working on fabric for a Quilt of Valor. This will be our service project at this time. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Good Enough Quilters met last week and had a very busy evening. I missed the meeting since I had something less pleasant to do but thanks to Fran, we can see the results. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkBewA6W9LZQDMv-rxRwazCVwWf_SLtAJUB6yFQJLSM4U2NfoNRMP1EoD8JatzKx9pE1plnWS6drzpEIBvMV-uoH3c32MyxnqZrySeFAUTEQA-4zWzUzj6Ai4VhBbbo2NfvkaiiV1A8mk/s1600/photo+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkBewA6W9LZQDMv-rxRwazCVwWf_SLtAJUB6yFQJLSM4U2NfoNRMP1EoD8JatzKx9pE1plnWS6drzpEIBvMV-uoH3c32MyxnqZrySeFAUTEQA-4zWzUzj6Ai4VhBbbo2NfvkaiiV1A8mk/s1600/photo+1.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
The task at hand was to put together a quilt for a young lady who is battling cancer. We were given photos that had special meaning for her and then put them together with some of her favorite colors. The week before Laura and I were able to figure out how to print them on fabric. And we even made them bigger! It was a proud moment for both of us.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmJk3R8rwoSM1AUCCp875KP5OAXhdwidk51t0Ztyany_a9J4RDsQibXXYRO2Z-ZaqA7F57-TNwgfSGe1qjeiRj1Xp8SlKo9wixt1rXjrgNEJzRiLdH5Wpop2NffNosT9V9yUtaugsfIRk/s1600/photo+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmJk3R8rwoSM1AUCCp875KP5OAXhdwidk51t0Ztyany_a9J4RDsQibXXYRO2Z-ZaqA7F57-TNwgfSGe1qjeiRj1Xp8SlKo9wixt1rXjrgNEJzRiLdH5Wpop2NffNosT9V9yUtaugsfIRk/s1600/photo+2.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
I can imagine the discussions as they worked out the layout for the blocks. It was fun for me to see the pictures after they were framed with fabric.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGWznQfnL6oMDTCEPNsQoOliR7KKrIsURE2lM5_ZrjaqVzqDc9wJ25C7PYplTeloUDHmETOO1PKj3EWFZIZa-TH98HX8_HfnHZd4ygHHZZ6oAPLXTcpFIrNy_ptK_NiyeeAnx2ZGZ-KTY/s1600/photo+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGWznQfnL6oMDTCEPNsQoOliR7KKrIsURE2lM5_ZrjaqVzqDc9wJ25C7PYplTeloUDHmETOO1PKj3EWFZIZa-TH98HX8_HfnHZd4ygHHZZ6oAPLXTcpFIrNy_ptK_NiyeeAnx2ZGZ-KTY/s1600/photo+3.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
And the final product is amazing. Now it will go off to the hand quilters who I'm sure will do an amazing job with that. Don't you think it is a job well done?<br />
<br />
Now kudos to the hard workers who made fast work of this labor of love.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7MMRzG1KIbxq9M9kb2jCosn7Mkm2Gfzhmzre5gV1ZuvussFwgCT7iTPgRDytk2RausBQDgMPprY7k1GAR5cRmtLclzB_DYe1huTn_y9HJNknREQhKjjZK6daeNZg3ki1NayFE_sR1-zE/s1600/photo+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7MMRzG1KIbxq9M9kb2jCosn7Mkm2Gfzhmzre5gV1ZuvussFwgCT7iTPgRDytk2RausBQDgMPprY7k1GAR5cRmtLclzB_DYe1huTn_y9HJNknREQhKjjZK6daeNZg3ki1NayFE_sR1-zE/s1600/photo+1.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Keep working. Time is of the essence.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Taking care of pressing matters.<br />

<br />
I will get this finished tonight.<br />

<br />
Almost done. That was fun!</div>

<br />
The Good Enough Quilters met last night and our first share was the big reveal of our kimono quilt. I finished putting all the blocks together with sashing and borders and now it is ready for the quilter. Dropped it off today and really can't wait to see the final product.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEDIXuNSmTbbKEdcbBAPhZQxzTMhOmg5lF3egoF_20yaQItj3VJMptr8pB-BCikVc6xmmotJbAm6NteQVAZwrVl_44ALKs8oHTCYoJnx4knGVar-TDufARI_9xW82wkjH8lcPGdwgQ0GM/s1600/DSC03365.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEDIXuNSmTbbKEdcbBAPhZQxzTMhOmg5lF3egoF_20yaQItj3VJMptr8pB-BCikVc6xmmotJbAm6NteQVAZwrVl_44ALKs8oHTCYoJnx4knGVar-TDufARI_9xW82wkjH8lcPGdwgQ0GM/s1600/DSC03365.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Lynn shared her final house basket, at least for now. This is a surprise gift for someone who doesn't read this blog anyway. This pattern is on my list for sure.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2VrhUlS_H26LvAtOsXRJq1Yr1yJCSBuQpqD2zR-pypTrJO3-NxekLzWMnmx1CyAXD-ThkaZTjir5cw7OgAZXREIQuxCqRdYA4FtPIyyFVTsyoyVOdX8GhBtBN3jkOU67xKFX8Y9sYkqk/s1600/DSC03366.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2VrhUlS_H26LvAtOsXRJq1Yr1yJCSBuQpqD2zR-pypTrJO3-NxekLzWMnmx1CyAXD-ThkaZTjir5cw7OgAZXREIQuxCqRdYA4FtPIyyFVTsyoyVOdX8GhBtBN3jkOU67xKFX8Y9sYkqk/s1600/DSC03366.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
She also shared the phenomenal tee shirt quilt she is working on. Old shirts were used for the sashing around each tee shirt.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVm1JmbILvTfXh2-XE7SfQgACQgLPM0y1cBI3722xD5FgcCgMoHnSefbB6GrPzS1ql9hanl5jaTQhYZ9jmvmbv0FnYDfkvNUA-GC7taQ-TgPMxuz9P9PFO_8Zc8T71tCyDQrBdsuLH69g/s1600/DSC03367.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVm1JmbILvTfXh2-XE7SfQgACQgLPM0y1cBI3722xD5FgcCgMoHnSefbB6GrPzS1ql9hanl5jaTQhYZ9jmvmbv0FnYDfkvNUA-GC7taQ-TgPMxuz9P9PFO_8Zc8T71tCyDQrBdsuLH69g/s1600/DSC03367.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The back was made from pajama bottoms. Looks like a great quilt to cuddle up with.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibzRThBqg64T5uDSU9kMOznf6He_GTiTx_vlOmhyphenhyphengz77-x0N1hzUwSjrm_Gfg7q0ibin7v_0PFOelRDkgQ-lXJyMtYRV0TIAk880XCGmeaD9ZPfyefdxHOYS4JQDZx1BOy2YLPDnNPXEY/s1600/DSC03369.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibzRThBqg64T5uDSU9kMOznf6He_GTiTx_vlOmhyphenhyphengz77-x0N1hzUwSjrm_Gfg7q0ibin7v_0PFOelRDkgQ-lXJyMtYRV0TIAk880XCGmeaD9ZPfyefdxHOYS4JQDZx1BOy2YLPDnNPXEY/s1600/DSC03369.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then it was Dru's turn. She started with the new. This was made with a fat quarter pack that she won. Great colors for a baby quilt.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkx9i_nEpTrXZhxBYI-w11hknv1gQCmWDRqsSyJDuNfNj6uOuqsTGjIjijVxxZ23DtNa1xgWa_Rwj99Z-G-OGcx98DIJB55JftGkJcay5wDpJxjsCy9nD6LVOpJOaKx4uy4imV_K5GQ2E/s1600/DSC03371.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkx9i_nEpTrXZhxBYI-w11hknv1gQCmWDRqsSyJDuNfNj6uOuqsTGjIjijVxxZ23DtNa1xgWa_Rwj99Z-G-OGcx98DIJB55JftGkJcay5wDpJxjsCy9nD6LVOpJOaKx4uy4imV_K5GQ2E/s1600/DSC03371.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This was her other new quilt which is also a baby quilt. The pictures are from the children's book, Guess How Much I Love You. More pretty colors.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRz9Z2JrJOjCCqMgn4E-4aQgdRoVFGVyPs7Wbmgl4BpLDiA3dm9ozXh4nRDcR3NIt3ntkoonHJaHkCwbG83SUHD0o5z6TFwUhpJ4PaQ40L83KDNczOgovVEfW9P4hKmII_gwG0YjD9ICE/s1600/DSC03372.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRz9Z2JrJOjCCqMgn4E-4aQgdRoVFGVyPs7Wbmgl4BpLDiA3dm9ozXh4nRDcR3NIt3ntkoonHJaHkCwbG83SUHD0o5z6TFwUhpJ4PaQ40L83KDNczOgovVEfW9P4hKmII_gwG0YjD9ICE/s1600/DSC03372.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then it was time for the old quilts. Dru shared some old family quilts with us. We oohed and aahed and especially took a close look at the stitching. All hand done. One thing we noticed is that none of the quilts have labels so the history and maker of them is unknown. A good lesson reinforced - always label your quilts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwXcfN7AzDAUqJeLyPljBp1v3JRpUE3DWp5wUAamTbMqWHOvJQUE9tOxo6rLOkcJGEXR9Q3wnlqJXeBVdYHgBMmRRb2A8RWZT9soMQM55cswQcUnk1p8QVQKSvPa9bUiCl6e_gstrr0Yk/s1600/DSC03374.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwXcfN7AzDAUqJeLyPljBp1v3JRpUE3DWp5wUAamTbMqWHOvJQUE9tOxo6rLOkcJGEXR9Q3wnlqJXeBVdYHgBMmRRb2A8RWZT9soMQM55cswQcUnk1p8QVQKSvPa9bUiCl6e_gstrr0Yk/s1600/DSC03374.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I hope you can appreciate the closeups of some of the hand stitching. Such tiny stitches.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQiCvWi-0uxV0Pvo3QxRJdA5J-gTgQbtImIqGKczvBl8DaQahqOjwBBjA_ZYdivKHlA1QNv0Ouv7diBRMe-DALOvIJiVlXcgU7bSkvw6A-453FSu585y_8i64KH0xG3t1UsOLUdS4bPyU/s1600/DSC03376.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQiCvWi-0uxV0Pvo3QxRJdA5J-gTgQbtImIqGKczvBl8DaQahqOjwBBjA_ZYdivKHlA1QNv0Ouv7diBRMe-DALOvIJiVlXcgU7bSkvw6A-453FSu585y_8i64KH0xG3t1UsOLUdS4bPyU/s1600/DSC03376.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_zW7cPfzoN7r5OmEPYOj2viScf6z59M_BgKXCVNBeI9_QETFjlx_GtJ_2qByKTytv2JA2CDtM3k5V2L77FH0RhoZYbmsE7nm8O1SYI0sZXA9nFOFRCHNYWPvvXGgxdwI8PeiIghRmCU8/s1600/DSC03377.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_zW7cPfzoN7r5OmEPYOj2viScf6z59M_BgKXCVNBeI9_QETFjlx_GtJ_2qByKTytv2JA2CDtM3k5V2L77FH0RhoZYbmsE7nm8O1SYI0sZXA9nFOFRCHNYWPvvXGgxdwI8PeiIghRmCU8/s1600/DSC03377.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Another old quilt. We decided it was a scrappy quilt and if we had looked closely we might have found some mismatched patches. Nothing would be thrown away.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSGk2CFnMtV-1RMuwl7Ljf8FiL0RsbV3rXdM4WYXglOgvbU4CKpta3rATdAJoC89PaO-eAhuE9qGIZioZlnGaEWcte0xL2sEQDtCcKAz1KAzotJ3dKw_SL7XzoHjAH3Skt50qN_ArMlrs/s1600/DSC03379.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSGk2CFnMtV-1RMuwl7Ljf8FiL0RsbV3rXdM4WYXglOgvbU4CKpta3rATdAJoC89PaO-eAhuE9qGIZioZlnGaEWcte0xL2sEQDtCcKAz1KAzotJ3dKw_SL7XzoHjAH3Skt50qN_ArMlrs/s1600/DSC03379.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The final quilt was the most amazing and probably over a hundred years old. Oh, to hear the stories that might accompany this quilt.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijb-lCP5pr4IDeC1COfgXunaqxXVTRuL8qz8agaKDCZqBEgGmmKJ87ufZiJvDdxDgo1CQL77Z3wQNTfJ69P-0euLjMALUMCoa7wH2weRDCEVlq9KECEAADZB-glmgHP6zlsHGAfTRT2pQ/s1600/DSC03382.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijb-lCP5pr4IDeC1COfgXunaqxXVTRuL8qz8agaKDCZqBEgGmmKJ87ufZiJvDdxDgo1CQL77Z3wQNTfJ69P-0euLjMALUMCoa7wH2weRDCEVlq9KECEAADZB-glmgHP6zlsHGAfTRT2pQ/s1600/DSC03382.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It was another red and white quilt but with signatures. We all tried to figure out how they got their writing so tiny - we know they didn't have printers to shrink the size!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9bciZuha-miPosjHrWmE9EYAQWJyLtJ0nW19v9KTEG-J3UovEDqPPymcCzj1D3cdqDVIzxV7YfAo7VkKbKXdJ-MRvgIwQmltabQn-k4Zk2z8NqHX45mmFUmfI7dVp-2ROn9UREpVpa0U/s1600/DSC03383.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9bciZuha-miPosjHrWmE9EYAQWJyLtJ0nW19v9KTEG-J3UovEDqPPymcCzj1D3cdqDVIzxV7YfAo7VkKbKXdJ-MRvgIwQmltabQn-k4Zk2z8NqHX45mmFUmfI7dVp-2ROn9UREpVpa0U/s1600/DSC03383.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Look at the details in these two patches. Amazing!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR9UHblHGV4ytNeGL3nXSUImu2O-QSvft-BX5uIyfpa5IqeKbNaMVB8s33bSHGQKyDic-wdPl1qM3RFsKL70p1xZ3aed2W_-Ah834GqUXgAbXOSJpyEdJucojC-bHgmf3sVx8NQ2i1UsM/s1600/DSC03384.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR9UHblHGV4ytNeGL3nXSUImu2O-QSvft-BX5uIyfpa5IqeKbNaMVB8s33bSHGQKyDic-wdPl1qM3RFsKL70p1xZ3aed2W_-Ah834GqUXgAbXOSJpyEdJucojC-bHgmf3sVx8NQ2i1UsM/s1600/DSC03384.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And you can see the date - 1842.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
These three quilts are real treasures.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Laura ended our sharing with a table topper. Lovely spring design for her table. I think Laura does the most applique of the group. We can all aspire to something. I simply aspire to get some quilts finished!<br />
<br />
Happy sewing everyone. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Sorry to keep you waiting but did you guess the difference? If you said the middle one had smaller sleeves, you were right! And that was mine. I think that is what I get for doing it ahead of time! While the other Good Enough Quilters told me it would be okay, I knew it would drive me crazy so... here I am doing it all over again. Should go quickly since I already did it once.<br />
<br />
Need to finish this, get the 9th block and then I can put it all together. Can't wait to see it finished.<br />
<br />
Stay tuned!</div>

<br />
The Good Enough Quilters got together briefly on Wednesday night to share the kimono quilt blocks each of us made. One is missing and will be added soon. After they were laid out, we discovered that one of the blocks was different than the others. Can you spot the difference?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFHTty9OX6oMnwYX3v_iYNNpEzA3_PeObXuCHEbbVuuI_uAxL3zrDFflySRM6wXaI0SZurn3i6kAw2CVxkiY3iwBQJbm4hihDt_u1Zpga8izfG8i17iNYZi6UsAjoEeyjpjJZ5DiPD-Xo/s1600/DSC03361.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFHTty9OX6oMnwYX3v_iYNNpEzA3_PeObXuCHEbbVuuI_uAxL3zrDFflySRM6wXaI0SZurn3i6kAw2CVxkiY3iwBQJbm4hihDt_u1Zpga8izfG8i17iNYZi6UsAjoEeyjpjJZ5DiPD-Xo/s1600/DSC03361.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This meeting was brief since I had another group coming from my book club but we still took the time for Cindy to share her house bag. Don't you love those colors?<br />
<br />
I'll be anxious to see if anyone can spot any difference. Watch the next post to see the answer. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiceBPjzpUdeSssAe3yWldnhncfMV0QP3qnu-U9hpc15DS9lY6g8rmxX459CtNzp-mNFQVPESCCY-FaustEYrAzP8mIzrv8lqgc4nn3gEMpvZlLebSE9B16GBk_X7ihtmSCjd2ejnfalQM/s1600/photo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiceBPjzpUdeSssAe3yWldnhncfMV0QP3qnu-U9hpc15DS9lY6g8rmxX459CtNzp-mNFQVPESCCY-FaustEYrAzP8mIzrv8lqgc4nn3gEMpvZlLebSE9B16GBk_X7ihtmSCjd2ejnfalQM/s1600/photo.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Dru and Deb finished their blocks this weekend and shared a picture with me. I know others have finished too but as for me, the fabric is still sitting on my cutting table. You would think that with all the cold and snow we've been having, I would at least have that finished. But, no, other things keep getting in the way.<br />
<br />
<br />
I may not be sewing but I really have made a lot of quilts in my mind. I get the weekly newsletter from <a href="http://www.hawthornethreads.com/">Hawthorne Threads</a> and just made 3 quilts from the fabrics they were spotlighting. If you have never looked at their site, I recommend it. And they have a giveaway of amazing fabric each week and all they want is your email address. So easy!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
In the meantime, Christmas is still alive in my house. I just haven't had time to take things down but do plan to do that this weekend.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd3k5DxDoUxvpAjohDfZ90bYwRORZomV7zOIgJrEtRf9OXwAIUPjp6xv9aIwoQEfOwZajBGLGz_hGR1g2P0GLbiF-DKoKeM3D86OBiPjMT9ZTlE_MDlpqvPj3jlKxRN6suC00PmwM2SSc/s1600/DSC03340.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd3k5DxDoUxvpAjohDfZ90bYwRORZomV7zOIgJrEtRf9OXwAIUPjp6xv9aIwoQEfOwZajBGLGz_hGR1g2P0GLbiF-DKoKeM3D86OBiPjMT9ZTlE_MDlpqvPj3jlKxRN6suC00PmwM2SSc/s1600/DSC03340.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I sometimes leave the snowmen up longer but not this year. It is time for them to go away too. One friend accuses me of causing the snow with my snowmen and I'm not taking that rap this year. Time for them to go!<br />
<br />

Here it is. Cindy completed her block right away and shared it with all of us. There will be nine blocks, all of different Asian fabric and they will be separated by black sashing. Should be so colorful! Can't wait to see it all together. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Good Enough Quilters met tonight and main item on the agenda was planning a quilt to be donated to Pearl S. Buck International for their spring fundraiser. We are using a kimono quilt pattern and each of us will make one block using different Asian fabric. Happy to say that this fabric is helping to bust my stash! Not bad. </div>

<br />
We chose the fabric we want to use since each kimono will be a different fabric. Very colorful. I think all were happy with their choice. Can't wait to see the finished blocks next month. Good that I have a deadline!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
From the quilt begun to several finished ones. Debbie wowed us again with her Christmas wallhanging. Love the colors and design of this. Don't those ornaments just pop off the quilt.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUFaCRUIlro3WrKZ7cdKsY99aHaqAhpMbFMd1HSs1kTb16c2YE0CDcg5qa7Md30tftGCdHbyIcTj91FNYl1tkvkapP69attEBBoncZ2qzfJzv-Mav9CgOcLeQrm1PLse8vNDLaXCTUMw8/s1600/DSC03283.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUFaCRUIlro3WrKZ7cdKsY99aHaqAhpMbFMd1HSs1kTb16c2YE0CDcg5qa7Md30tftGCdHbyIcTj91FNYl1tkvkapP69attEBBoncZ2qzfJzv-Mav9CgOcLeQrm1PLse8vNDLaXCTUMw8/s1600/DSC03283.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Had to share just one closeup of this. So creative.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiRzdDJ8mzehTmM6aPXlXM5KEmDE36MzZWXIBJ7nYpLTgyOVxhxwdrUgs45uHu_caZlEqcJtdbno1hUo9aGHrf45-NQNtUACUSOE7eCaZ7Ij_1AcOPchY3NU0LZAC-SE9pwrOAsBrpR58/s1600/DSC03285.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiRzdDJ8mzehTmM6aPXlXM5KEmDE36MzZWXIBJ7nYpLTgyOVxhxwdrUgs45uHu_caZlEqcJtdbno1hUo9aGHrf45-NQNtUACUSOE7eCaZ7Ij_1AcOPchY3NU0LZAC-SE9pwrOAsBrpR58/s1600/DSC03285.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Dru was really on a roll. This was her first share. She had this little quilt hanging on her front door. Great colors and for sure so fall-like.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh93l78mFaaeIpcZiwKZbdMVHPHaVq0742DW39b6yZ8GaSY9K6X8-tU4ITcL8D-4mYEgGJw9RmD12hPSGE2S9qs3izr_k9nguZ7SBifzNRYWHEQDIK0k4jwTPqLoouXHzy4_y-OhTAYhJ8/s1600/DSC03286.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh93l78mFaaeIpcZiwKZbdMVHPHaVq0742DW39b6yZ8GaSY9K6X8-tU4ITcL8D-4mYEgGJw9RmD12hPSGE2S9qs3izr_k9nguZ7SBifzNRYWHEQDIK0k4jwTPqLoouXHzy4_y-OhTAYhJ8/s1600/DSC03286.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The back looks good too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYF9d-R-e75CJpqiJB1xgtpq2-S78Uo0WAwEJ6PMWnhOyquQi9mDvVJ7CKUCxgq4Gh8ZdcicjrDB6sWz2URaiZBJS_ChbsNmLQGtL-yHayyGJfNUJn8wabT12f3GrMUh2BnkGHB3-W-0Y/s1600/DSC03287.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYF9d-R-e75CJpqiJB1xgtpq2-S78Uo0WAwEJ6PMWnhOyquQi9mDvVJ7CKUCxgq4Gh8ZdcicjrDB6sWz2URaiZBJS_ChbsNmLQGtL-yHayyGJfNUJn8wabT12f3GrMUh2BnkGHB3-W-0Y/s1600/DSC03287.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Next she shared a bright and colorful baby quilt. Now those are colors that really pop. The yellow fabric is really cute too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF7TN5G_uyrThOQdbFfPN3avdlQvqe0ROEMBSM_eMkwvfISIAsZqVdr9aROsQfiUT4OYwkLvv2sp94rxndNagnF6Dqw32iF3PHnJI3QphfqGXoFzeEumaZIlhrV7UMmqgcnb7hVjXsWGk/s1600/DSC03289.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF7TN5G_uyrThOQdbFfPN3avdlQvqe0ROEMBSM_eMkwvfISIAsZqVdr9aROsQfiUT4OYwkLvv2sp94rxndNagnF6Dqw32iF3PHnJI3QphfqGXoFzeEumaZIlhrV7UMmqgcnb7hVjXsWGk/s1600/DSC03289.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
The backing is a great fabric. They may look like books from this angle but are really houses in a row.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXhqDgrGfqL6Ul52uR640zUNjk5325Ep1D6vCVdp7vOm8aTFHURe6FtHjpC9z0-2gNSIkbH01i55DKGhLdqkXqfDFw_CPz0xJaW4O7pGY_Y5e4k-0ckUiqhmJTUYOatg3OEQRha4Dpw4A/s1600/DSC03290.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXhqDgrGfqL6Ul52uR640zUNjk5325Ep1D6vCVdp7vOm8aTFHURe6FtHjpC9z0-2gNSIkbH01i55DKGhLdqkXqfDFw_CPz0xJaW4O7pGY_Y5e4k-0ckUiqhmJTUYOatg3OEQRha4Dpw4A/s1600/DSC03290.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Dru then shared two old UFO's that have become two finishes. These were blocks of the month that several of us did a few years ago. A good finish.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyNca6xbH-UCnVD9NZLEYziQqTDcWMzMO5J6OABktKS1w7wWxrKyXKpkMoKzUQjFeNGBEGsFGj-w15LYGPq_FLp-Ez67t3muIcNsrCBX6alUMcCjlLOlHb3R9w50IqtNZ7FAINkpSuL7o/s1600/DSC03291.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyNca6xbH-UCnVD9NZLEYziQqTDcWMzMO5J6OABktKS1w7wWxrKyXKpkMoKzUQjFeNGBEGsFGj-w15LYGPq_FLp-Ez67t3muIcNsrCBX6alUMcCjlLOlHb3R9w50IqtNZ7FAINkpSuL7o/s1600/DSC03291.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
And her final finish is another set of blocks of the month. I thought I took a picture of the backing but didn't. Dru only used fleece and no batting on this one. A nice comfy cover for cold, winter nights.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUOPzq7oxMwhyphenhyphenC6URMaywSbmVRFukzc0VLRgBemBKAvoLmD8aN_CBr_hRAY9IZn1p2mXIyDaFtPnOe98uZXQjyHJRcbJarzhdNPs3_HdwRnNE_iByFbs-Rxbx3m8gKRkcP6b54OF2gL7U/s1600/DSC03293.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUOPzq7oxMwhyphenhyphenC6URMaywSbmVRFukzc0VLRgBemBKAvoLmD8aN_CBr_hRAY9IZn1p2mXIyDaFtPnOe98uZXQjyHJRcbJarzhdNPs3_HdwRnNE_iByFbs-Rxbx3m8gKRkcP6b54OF2gL7U/s1600/DSC03293.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div>
You may recognize these from our last meeting. Lynn is making more of the sewing box like the one I won at our December meeting. (Yes, Laura and Fran, I can hear you saying that I stole it!) We each got the pattern and now can make our own. Debbie is already planning to give hers away. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Hope to post again with actual sewing in the next week or two. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Have a great month, everyone!</div>

<br />
Last Friday we had our annual Christmas dinner meeting at Cindy's house. We each bring food and just sit back and enjoy. This little guy belongs to Cindy. It was her mother's and the body was made from an old quilt. Don't you just love it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhN5kuByvVK71WzWi0C6LT85Qc_plCS3-bw8vJKZKYkPdRNfhnZuQhYcH656rEZUe4bkxcxxzK76Z-ix4QwLr2MUad3_F8RQff2qhE7sKv5iJhmzgZBV8udXwwhPqAkdiPVyxAG35676oI/s1600/DSC03228.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhN5kuByvVK71WzWi0C6LT85Qc_plCS3-bw8vJKZKYkPdRNfhnZuQhYcH656rEZUe4bkxcxxzK76Z-ix4QwLr2MUad3_F8RQff2qhE7sKv5iJhmzgZBV8udXwwhPqAkdiPVyxAG35676oI/s320/DSC03228.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
We didn't have too many shares this month. That always makes me feel better since I seldom have anything to share. This was the quilt that Laura made for her daughter and son-in-law. All paper pieced and Laura doesn't even like doing that! And it is huge!!! Luckily, Laura is sending it out to be quilted.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Just wanted to give you a closer look. She promises to show us when it is finished.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTB6XHzMF7-MwuV4xU3rOQc7lK2VFHXvwV86rQiSQSwQd-tid67_sfe6_hpDwgGEK9cge7cXM5Z9ZW-lxO3zlxNJ0B1PCHoAAwZ9gaFmIjoyOBUizVepAyP_BUt_lh6HxNod1Nic_0gVw/s1600/DSC03231.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="268" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTB6XHzMF7-MwuV4xU3rOQc7lK2VFHXvwV86rQiSQSwQd-tid67_sfe6_hpDwgGEK9cge7cXM5Z9ZW-lxO3zlxNJ0B1PCHoAAwZ9gaFmIjoyOBUizVepAyP_BUt_lh6HxNod1Nic_0gVw/s320/DSC03231.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Tonight was also our gift exchange or better to call it gift grab. I'm sure many of you have participated in one of these. There were some steals and hopefully, friendships will mend in a month or two! This was one of the gifts that Fran got after, hate to admit it, I took her gift. She also got a charm pack.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh24PFooAum9kAiYf91uk1R9sqWX-Ch0nvwsc6rU0UWwpfLBkW3rmfXEFy7emeSCfiRt1kAobfPg6Pxv2ue_AgQoq7odpHAQhHN4_kzusJBZkbUTsuFrWz0Rzj0ioi_NyNvBRR-eIAqbVo/s1600/DSC03232.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh24PFooAum9kAiYf91uk1R9sqWX-Ch0nvwsc6rU0UWwpfLBkW3rmfXEFy7emeSCfiRt1kAobfPg6Pxv2ue_AgQoq7odpHAQhHN4_kzusJBZkbUTsuFrWz0Rzj0ioi_NyNvBRR-eIAqbVo/s320/DSC03232.JPG" width="315" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, when you see this you will understand why I took Fran's gift. This was a sewing basket that Lynn made. I just couldn't pass it up when the opportunity presented itself. So sorry, Fran.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3k-YpYYKHrgtixd4ZH8e4Re2dg9aZgHozPQzju1Y8yiZ1M7ypBrhqOpWQyewc-0paMSfvHAGrdg-eJLb1bgOjcYTx3poG9H2BWHEyclOO0X5W54jAmgWa897fCcJpn8A-2tKUa9h-RCo/s1600/IMG_5003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3k-YpYYKHrgtixd4ZH8e4Re2dg9aZgHozPQzju1Y8yiZ1M7ypBrhqOpWQyewc-0paMSfvHAGrdg-eJLb1bgOjcYTx3poG9H2BWHEyclOO0X5W54jAmgWa897fCcJpn8A-2tKUa9h-RCo/s320/IMG_5003.jpg" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
We had a week of snow days off and on. This picture is from one of those days but now as our weather warms up, we are saying goodbye to a white Christmas but thinking people won't mind seeing it go. It was quite a mess.<br />
<br />
Hope you all enjoy a wonderful holiday, wherever you may be. </div>

I don't know how time got away from me so badly that it has been two months since I posted anything! It is a good thing we had our Good Enough Quilters meeting so I had to post. Perhaps in the new year, I will do better and fill you in on what I have been up to.<br />
Anyway, this bright and cheery quilt was a finish by Cindy. It is a baby quilt, so simple yet looking so good. (Hint, Cindy, when you read this, can you send us the pattern, please?)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The fabric on the back of her quilt is so cute too. Great colors and darling animals.<br />
<br />

<br />
This quilt posted a challenge for taking a picture. You might remember seeing it when we worked on it. Cindy brought it back to show us the quilting. We have donated this one for a special sale and Cindy will complete the binding for us.<br />

<br />
Hope you can appreciate the way it was quilted. It was hand quilted and we loved the way it actually produced angles which showed better on the backing of the quilt.<br />
<br />

<br />
Debbie shared the special quilt she made for her granddaughter. It is so adorable. Her granddaughter picked out the pattern herself. Aren't they too cute?<br />
<br />

<br />
Dru shared a quick Halloween table mat that she made. Forgot to take a picture of the back. She used a fall print so this would be multi-purpose.<br />

Deb, I bet you recognize this one. Dru and her sister worked on Christmas quilts the last time Deb visited and this is Dru's. Love the presents on this one. And good colors too.<br />

<br />
As Dru told us, she broke down and had this one machine quilted. Ruth is one of the area machine quilters and she never ceases to amaze us with her creativity. Each area of the quilt is a different stitch pattern. What a wonderful artist.<br />

I am hoping to be back soon with more posts. So much to share, so little time...</div>

The Good Enough Quilters met again tonight. Since we hadn't met since the spring, it seemed like ages since we had seen each other. Some of us were very busy during our summer break.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAuF9WydAuWSHfefdBnmwMOn3nOlA7bTfTIVK5l1v5zS6ReafdCGwjGwn4FOjTcQu9I9Q0qlj7OHdXMig11ugPpJnhzAmlyhTX_vqFe8QcoTEA1r_0QfXPXOPIdjo0mOPkHaLpgAdfYKY/s1600/DSC03194.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAuF9WydAuWSHfefdBnmwMOn3nOlA7bTfTIVK5l1v5zS6ReafdCGwjGwn4FOjTcQu9I9Q0qlj7OHdXMig11ugPpJnhzAmlyhTX_vqFe8QcoTEA1r_0QfXPXOPIdjo0mOPkHaLpgAdfYKY/s320/DSC03194.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Lynn had to dump out her school books so she could bring her summer project - making a new school bag. Love the colors.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUMAZf75MMsx9ebbT4ZIzKCBHZWuyfMtcOLfixR9De8iKHfCrE40aOM9JLDVtqtxfKsNVe49-0yzXSXXNQQ3nTOzSQmzkvq-ThuF2q0suOyLCIgrXE4UCLIaSJD-2KPVWNqAFtXvETWMY/s1600/DSC03195.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUMAZf75MMsx9ebbT4ZIzKCBHZWuyfMtcOLfixR9De8iKHfCrE40aOM9JLDVtqtxfKsNVe49-0yzXSXXNQQ3nTOzSQmzkvq-ThuF2q0suOyLCIgrXE4UCLIaSJD-2KPVWNqAFtXvETWMY/s320/DSC03195.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Lynn has also been busy with this wonderful quilt made entirely from her stash. This will be a fundraiser raffle quilt. Would very quickly take a chance on this one.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Close-up - we love her quilting too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Even though she doesn't like paper piecing, Laura is making this wonderful Irish quilt. Wouldn't you say the person getting this one is very lucky indeed?<br />

Not finished, or even started, Dru shared the packets she picked up on an extended shop hop. Can't wait to see what it looks like when finished.<br />

Cindy showed a picture of a finished quilt and then shared the next one she is making from the same pattern. Don't you love to re-use a pattern? You already know how to make it and have probably worked out the kinks.<br />

Debbie's quilt is such a show stopper. This darling quilt is for her granddaughter. And we all wanted to stroke it just like Fran is doing in the picture. The owls are just too cute.<br />

I was last. Not quite finished but only have to handsew the binding. This is going off to a friend who is in France right now. Perfect memories of Provence.<br />

Happy Quilting!<br />

This is my birthday weekend, well, really I celebrate all month but my actual birthday is today. Yesterday, a friend took me to see Philadelphia's Magic Gardens and I loved it. It was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday since I have wanted to go there for a while. It was such a nice surprise since I didn't realize this was our destination.<br />

Isaiah Zagar is the artist who has created this wonderful world of mosaic. It started in one building and then expanded to the lot next door and now it is on various buildings in his neighborhood. It is a wonderful feast for the senses and I think you could go back again and again and keep seeing new things.<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
Okay, the quilting is finished and now I only have to put on the binding and I'm finished. Will be delivering the quilt to the baby's grandmother this weekend. It was a smaller size so a little easier to quilt.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNPdVioQysRrJmVliggyKMh-xyfZ0OxctXn849ZOGKm8SaCCk53ZYoi1EYOYIBOFMCydhENdISxz45TUUbXLKP9TnAB3XTWsdup1RDjRVQLg-qKLOZcQ1lgGexu0vUU92yntBE6kd04OM/s1600/IMG_4204.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNPdVioQysRrJmVliggyKMh-xyfZ0OxctXn849ZOGKm8SaCCk53ZYoi1EYOYIBOFMCydhENdISxz45TUUbXLKP9TnAB3XTWsdup1RDjRVQLg-qKLOZcQ1lgGexu0vUU92yntBE6kd04OM/s320/IMG_4204.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Now, here is my question. I started using a walking foot but the stitches were awful. After ripping out three lines of stitches, I decided to try a regular presser foot and it worked! I'm thinking it may have been the thinness of the batting?<br />
<br />
I want to hear from any of you who quilt your own quilts but not with a longarm. Do you use a walking foot or something else? Thinking maybe it is time for a lesson?<br />
<br />
Happy Quilting!<br />

It is a rainy Wednesday and I really should be quilting but instead I'm wasting my time on the computer. My day at home is to be spent straightening my guest room for company this weekend. Very excited for the company but not excited to clean and sort. I know once I get started I'll be happier to do it. What do they say, a journey of a thousand miles...<br />

Before I share my pictures, I have been asked to pass on the following quilt show info. And who doesn't like to hear about a quilt show!<br />

If you are a fan of Susan Branch, as I am, you will love her newest book, A Fine Romance. Susan writes about her trip to England and since it is in her lovely script, it feels like you are reading her diary. Pictures and stories are to enjoy and savor. A big must read. And just wouldn't be the same on an e-reader. This is a book.<br />

Nothing about sewing today, although I did cut the backing for the quilt and hope to get back to it this coming week. My deadline was moved so the pressure is off for a bit. Now hoping to finish by September.<br />
<br />
Just changed my heading photo. Hated to take away the hydrangeas but just love this sunflower photo. I took it at a friend's house this weekend. I loved the brightness of the flower against the wooden fence. Do love sunflowers because they make me smile! Hope they can do the same for you.<br />
<br />
Happy Sewing!<br />

As in almost a quilt. I started this quilt about 4 months ago and finally there is pressure to get it finished and as I've said before, I do my best work under pressure! I'm making this baby quilt for the granddaughter of a friend. I will finally get to meet the baby tomorrow. And figure I will at least have a top to give. It will be one of those twice given quilts, for sure.<br />
<br />
I am happy with the look and even happier that I found border fabric in my stash. Which of course meant it was okay to buy just a little more great fabric. Oh, my.<br />

I have one more deadline looming. I was lucky to be chosen as an advance reader for Lisa Wingate's newest book, The Prayer Box. I have to finish and send it on to the next reader by tomorrow. I will finish for sure. This was a wonderful story and certainly hasn't disappointed. Lisa's first book, Tending Roses, is my all time favorite book ever!<br />
<br />
Hope to have a quilt finish to post very soon!<br />
<br />
Have a happy day and weekend.<br />

<br />
I was looking at the garden flags I have out right now. The one above is so tempting and a wonderful activity on a summer's day. Unfortunately, it can only be a dream at the moment. The minute you walk out the door, you want to turn around and come back in. Hoping for a break this weekend.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE9ZADdjKydZtYJ1MlJtwTPZ6RBMauf8b08KTnD0sRGRmK64SuxPyEUi7m76yizSWOYA2EflwvSummMyyRlJfJ8YHRwwaWCXpZx9ZUYALzsBGq3j6Op8RjP5gnO1evmyuaNXWbW62yNwI/s1600/IMG_4044.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE9ZADdjKydZtYJ1MlJtwTPZ6RBMauf8b08KTnD0sRGRmK64SuxPyEUi7m76yizSWOYA2EflwvSummMyyRlJfJ8YHRwwaWCXpZx9ZUYALzsBGq3j6Op8RjP5gnO1evmyuaNXWbW62yNwI/s320/IMG_4044.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
The people who are lucky enough to be at the shore right now are enjoying a bit of a break. I think the temperatures there are a bit cooler. Sitting there by the water looks like it would be nice.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRRDjyz0soITK0HxtxKF5u4cMayO_SmRsHuiUIouZvoNqPhLoScRQIO07HTNtqkT0d0FeBZbxyOIUZqWwNFgaxGteWBxSF1zLkcg2gyFwmAV8jjht7sTnm7lWyCCrFq9CuKFeCKZeeMSI/s1600/IMG_4043.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRRDjyz0soITK0HxtxKF5u4cMayO_SmRsHuiUIouZvoNqPhLoScRQIO07HTNtqkT0d0FeBZbxyOIUZqWwNFgaxGteWBxSF1zLkcg2gyFwmAV8jjht7sTnm7lWyCCrFq9CuKFeCKZeeMSI/s320/IMG_4043.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
And one more thing... happy to share my bottle tree. Love the blue bottles and the black-eyed Susans together.<br />
<br />
Hope you are somewhere a little cooler than it is here. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I know the other members of the Good Enough Quilters are patiently waiting for this post. Really meant to get to it sooner but life got in the way. So, as I said, finally the post. </div>

<br />
This is a wonderful quilt that was given to Cindy. It is a quilt top but wonderfully vintage. We loved seeing a few of the places where the blocks were pieced together since they ran out of fabric. Simply beautiful!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGWauDqdCc94WuebLSISNtHiHbNh9ppB2f9z3s-LFfGy4grsJBeIcD9kUq2DvWPlRW2Mt8l6MwKpeWNmQHpDpU2rU1OfXH4sdhdy0xaC9BhrpuSezNIUcdHgqQvtY21IdfZKEdA01RQUA/s1600/DSC03038.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGWauDqdCc94WuebLSISNtHiHbNh9ppB2f9z3s-LFfGy4grsJBeIcD9kUq2DvWPlRW2Mt8l6MwKpeWNmQHpDpU2rU1OfXH4sdhdy0xaC9BhrpuSezNIUcdHgqQvtY21IdfZKEdA01RQUA/s320/DSC03038.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, after making a few changes to some of the blocks, here is our finished quilt top. We are donating it to the Peter Becker quilters who will finish it and then sell it. Can't wait to see it when they are finished with it.<br />
<br />

<br />
We were really happy that Dru's sister, Deb, could join us for this meeting. And she always brings some of her work to share with us. This is a darling baby quilt she made. Such pretty soft colors and this one is finished.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This is the back of the quilt. Sorry it is not a bit closer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Isn't this a fun pillow. Deb switches out the pillows on her sofa and I think these were the summer version. She said it was easy and the circles have rough edges. Love those colors.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8LmxX0EG_yqeK4yhxgKf1oyvzd8BIyKGDM3uju_lPG_diDhCTx2sK-i8DJvQMlvjswq7lYRYkyKitN9Wj3Tii1V1Dquxm84sz3t7E1rgL-9AFMwstcWMj3lNidXJ8NwfIA5TfTEqBdZ0/s1600/DSC03042.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8LmxX0EG_yqeK4yhxgKf1oyvzd8BIyKGDM3uju_lPG_diDhCTx2sK-i8DJvQMlvjswq7lYRYkyKitN9Wj3Tii1V1Dquxm84sz3t7E1rgL-9AFMwstcWMj3lNidXJ8NwfIA5TfTEqBdZ0/s320/DSC03042.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And the hexies. Deb has over a hundred and only needs about 50 more for the quilt she wants to make. English paper piecing, I believe. Is that right, Deb?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjCHZ0Hlz6mwl9cdp0Y8OE46hxIN_GmuLnqZyoDrQQcGQUHpO1nFOl97iaSpnH3qfuSRrVpnLe0VdU6WMs4JRq-mo10cASmVidoRQ0kuCY0TcRcrw1Xv0Fizb5XMQgGe5rz2UurAjzew0/s1600/DSC03043.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjCHZ0Hlz6mwl9cdp0Y8OE46hxIN_GmuLnqZyoDrQQcGQUHpO1nFOl97iaSpnH3qfuSRrVpnLe0VdU6WMs4JRq-mo10cASmVidoRQ0kuCY0TcRcrw1Xv0Fizb5XMQgGe5rz2UurAjzew0/s320/DSC03043.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I didn't have a finish but at least shared the blocks I have finished. Now they just need to be sewn together. Can't wait to see how they look.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
My quilt pattern came from the book on the right. Love the patterns in this book. We were all wondering about Book One and guess what I found when I got home. That's right, Book One! I want to make them all. Where to find the time...<br />
<br />

<br />
This is the back of Lynn's jelly roll race quilt. Great color. Goes well with the quilt you see below.<br />
<br />

<br />
Here is Lynn's finished quilt. I'm afraid I didn't get a good closeup but after stitching in the ditch, Lynn did a squiggly line in the cent of each row. Looks great.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
And especially for our four absent members, this is what you missed. It was a nice evening and we loved sitting outside and enjoying Dru's wonderful backyard patio. With fans blowing on the porch, it was a lovely evening all around.<br />
<br />
We won't be meeting again until September so I'm hoping I will be posting a finish or two before then. And maybe even some random thoughts.<br />
<br />
<br />
Hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful 4th of July. </div>

<br />
Yes, I used the word again. I did some sewing the other night and getting ready to continue. The book shows the finished pattern and the fabric squares show the blocks I have finished so far. My next step is adding white rectangles to two sides of each block. Moving right along. That is until I finish the top and procrastinate on the finish!<br />
<br />
Happy Sewing!</div>
